I have a Dell Inspiron 1525 with Windows Vista. i turned it on today and it immediately went to hibernation mode, but it won't completely hibernate. I tried unplugging, removing the battery, etc. but it still is stuck trying to hibernate. Any ideas?

If this is a laptop, and you have removed the power supply and the battery, you should leave it and it should shut down completely in a few seconds. If not, try holding down the power button for 10 seconds.

Thanks. Just before you answered, I removed the battery, unplugged it and held the power button down for 30 seconds and that worked. Appreciate the help.
