I would like to uninstall registry mechanic. It won't let me from the control or even its own uninstall because it says it is open and I need to close it. I have no idea how to do that.
I am not beign obtuse, I honestly have no idea what paypal tips are. this is advertised as being free.

press ctrl-shift-esc at the same time, it will bring up a task manager. Click the processes tab, and then sort by image name by clicking image name at the top. Look for a proccess that sounds like registry mechanic (it may have regmech or something like that). Click it, then click "End Process" and confirm that you want to. Then try and remove it.

The paypal tip is optional, if you feel the help warrents a cash thank you, you can send the person who answered your question money via paypal. Again, completely optional.
