somehow I have lost part of my IP config while trying to speed up internet --- cannot do system restore, connect to internet , my sygate firewall is lost, etc
my virus software is kaspersky and it says nothing is wrong...

right click on my computer, click properties, click the hardware tab, then device manager. Under network adapters, right click each one and click uninstall. Reboot the computer, then see if the ip configuration comes back.
